Our client, one of the leading FMCG distribution companies in Bosnia-Herzegovina is looking for an experienced professional to fill the following position:

Sales Director

 - Sarajevo –

Job responsibilities: 
  • Determines annual unit and gross-profit plans by implementing marketing strategies; analyzing trends and results
  • Proactively identifies opportunities for sales process improvement
  • Establishes sales objectives by forecasting and developing annual sales targets for regions and channels; projecting expected sales volume and profit for existing and new products
  • Implements national sales initiatives by developing field sales action plans
  • Maintains sales volume, product mix, numerical distribution, shelf excellence and selling price by keeping current with supply and demand, changing trends, economic indicators, and competitors
  • Establishes and adjusts selling prices by monitoring costs, competition and supply and demand
  • Completes national sales operational requirements by scheduling and assigning employees; following up on work results and coordinating with division heads, area sales managers and key account managers
  • Conducts annual negotiations and manages top level relations with selected key accounts
  • Maintains national sales staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting and training employees and developing performance-based incentive plans
  • Maintains national sales staff job results by counseling and disciplining employees; planning, monitoring and appraising job results
  • Manages day to day sales operations in cooperation with area sales managers and key account managers
  • Works with Accounting, Finance, Supply Chain, Category Management and Human Resources, provides assistance with sales incentive compensation administration on an as-needed basis, or when required to arbitrate or clarify the application of sales compensation program policies and procedures
  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed
Candidate profile: 
  • Minimum five years of sales management experience in a B2B sales environment, preferably in FMCG industry
  • Demonstrated proficiency managing analytically rigorous initiatives
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office 
  • Maintains high personal integrity and confidentiality
  • Result oriented person with attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks, work under pressure and meet deadlines while maintaining work relationships in the face of conflicting demands;
  • A confident and positive attitude with excellent cultural awareness and sensitivity;
  • Willingness to travel;
  • A self-starter who requires minimum supervision;
  • Preferably university degree in business.
