EBV Elektronik, an Avnet Company, is one of the leading specialists in European semiconductor distribution. EBV operates from 62 offices in 28 countries throughout Europe as well as in Israel and South Africa.

Today, EBV is opening a global Technical Support Center in Serbia, a team of experienced engineers supporting our sales team across Europe to solve technical inquiries from mass market customers. It is office-based and support is mainly provided via email, phone and knowledgebase portal.

Technical Support Engineer

Microcontrollers, Sensors, Wireless Connectivity, Cloud Services for IoT

Job Description
  • provides technical support on EBV Microcontrollers, Sensors and Connectivity product portfolio to European EBV sales teams for identified business opportunities and formulate satisfactory technical proposals solving customer needs, problems and design challenges
  • applies applications knowledge in Applications of Microcontrollers, Sensors and Connectivity for cross-selling and part recommendation
  • gain expert level knowledge (HW/SW) in the Microcontrollers, Sensors and Connectivity solutions, obtaining and maintaining the required franchise partners’ certifications
  • participate actively in the Application Engineers trainings developing deep technical competence for IoT, Microcontrollers, Sensors, Connectivity and generic knowledge of the whole EBV product portfolio
  • works together with the regional sales organization and interacts with the EBV Technical community and franchise partners support resources
  • contributes with technical inputs to the EBV Knowledgebase. Shares product and application knowledge with colleagues
  • maintain current knowledge of technology and market developments (including competition) in the electronics industries as well as latest innovations in product development
  • university degree in Electrical Engineering
  • 5+ years’ experience in semiconductors/electronics industry in applications engineering, preferably in customer support roles
  • areas of expertise: Microcontrollers (Cortex MCUs and Design Ecosystem), Sensors, Wireless Connectivity ( Zigbee, Thread, BLE, WiFi ), Cloud Services for Internet of Things
  • fluency in English, verbally and in writing. Other European languages are a plus
  • excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • strong collaboration skills being a team player and relationship building capabilities            
  • willing to travel occasionally (regionally & internationally)
